FSS: Fabric small scraps collection
A small collection of (mostly) vintage cotton and linen fabric scraps, most of which have been hand-dyed with Procion, plus a few other vintage scraps that may include silk and a vintage commercial print or two. Fabrics are mostly plain weaves, but some packs may contain decorative cutwork, tatting, or lace edging, all vintage and cut from table linens, napkins, handkerchiefs etc.
There are approximately 20-25 small pieces per pack, from about 5" x 7" to about 4-6" x 3-4", plus some very small scraps and sometimes some vintage trim or ribbon, etc. Packs weigh (on average) around 80g.
Fabrics have been chosen randomly so these sets are not coordinated, but they are good for adding to your existing collection. Colours are predominantly greens, blues, and muted colours. Photographs show representative examples of what you may receive; each pack is slightly different, and buying more than one pack may (or may not) result in some duplicates.
Good for all kinds of patchwork, fabric collage, experimental embroidery, slow stitch and textile art, plus various other crafts.
As with all my hand-dyes, I can't guarantee that anything is completely colourfast. Most of the fabrics are vintage and/or recycled, so expect frayed edges, signs of age and wear, seams or buttonholes, etc.
UK postage will be via standard first class; all overseas post will be via Royal Mail International Tracked.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION for non-UK customers - please read before ordering:
- Please ensure that you pick the correct country from the drop-down menu. Any orders where the address and country do not correspond (for example, a US address with UK as the country) will be cancelled and refunded. Choosing UK, when you don’t live in the UK, will cause the automated checkout to apply UK shipping rates. You must pay the correct shipping rate for your country.
- Your purchase may be subject to additional customs charges depending on your location. You can use online import tax calculators to estimate what the additional import charges will be before you buy. Please be aware that I have no control at all over how much you will be charged in import duties; it is your responsibility to find out before making a purchase.
- Your customs office may occasionally open and inspect your parcel before delivering it to you. Please understand that I have no control over this.
- When paying by card, please try and remember your purchase when your bank statement arrives. The amount will look different because of the currency conversion. If you initiate a dispute with your bank because you don’t recognise the amount, I have to prove to your bank that you did make the purchase, and I am charged a non-refundable fee even if the purchase was genuine. Please contact me before initiating a dispute if you are in any doubt about your purchase.
