Discontinued - Extra-fine mercerised cotton thread

£2.25

Please note I am currently unable to ship this item to Northern Ireland or Europe.

This product is now discontinued and is only available while current stocks last.
Very fine mercerised cotton thread in skeins of approximately 50 yards, hand-dyed with Procion. This thread is about half as fine as the standard fine cotton; slightly thicker than standard sewing machine thread, similar to hand-quilting cotton. Good for adding fine detail or small stitches. As always, I can't guarantee that anything is completely colourfast. Yardage estimates are approximate.

The size and shape of the skeins means that they count as a large letter, for mailing purposes - the postage cost is too expensive for a single skein, but you can add several of these to another purchase for no additional postage cost. It costs the same to send one skein as it does to send thirty. I have several other single skeins available at the moment so you can curate your own collection.

Please use the drop-down menu to select colours (please note - where multiples exist, they are not necessarily identical - just very similar):

XFC1 forsythia - a bright spring acid yellow
XFC2 peach apricot - peachy pink tones
XFC3 peachy pink - similar to XFC2 but slightly darker
XFC4 red - slightly pinkish red
XFC5 claret - burgundy plum reds with lilac/purple highlights
XFC6 winter sky - medium pale greyish blues
XFC7 blue - slightly darker and warmer than XFC6
XFC8 tropical green - vibrant yellow-greens
XFC9 green - leafy garden greens
XFC10 turquoise grey - aqua blues with grey flashes
XFC11 pink sand - sandy peachy tones with red-pink flashes

UK postage will be via standard first class; all overseas postage will be via Royal Mail International Tracked.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION for non-UK customers - please read before ordering:

- Please ensure that you pick the correct country from the drop-down menu. Choosing UK, when you don’t live in the UK, will cause the automated checkout to apply UK shipping rates, and this causes extra work for me as I then have to invoice you for the additional amount. You must pay the correct shipping rate for your country, please. I am sorry that I am currently unable to post items to Europe.
- Your purchase may be subject to additional customs charges depending on your location. You can use online import tax calculators to estimate what the additional import charges will be before you buy. Please be aware that I have no control at all over how much you will be charged in import duties; it is your responsibility to find out before making a purchase.
- Your customs office may occasionally open and inspect your parcel before delivering it to you. Please understand that I have no control over this.
- When paying by card, please try and remember your purchase when your bank statement arrives. The amount will look different because of the currency conversion. If you initiate a dispute with your bank because you don’t recognise the amount, I have to prove to your bank that you did make the purchase, and I am charged a non-refundable fee even if the purchase was genuine. Please contact me before initiating a dispute if you are in any doubt about your purchase.
