Randoms mini thread collection

I am sorry that I am currently unable to ship this item to USA, Northern Ireland or Europe.

Randoms are randomly chosen (but loosely coordinating) mini-skeins of various types and sizes, good for adding to your collection and especially good for small projects like daily stitching. They are the same types of thread as listed elsewhere in the shop, but just not quite long enough for complete skeins, and just a bit too long for thread taster sets. Buying two or more may (or may not) result in some duplicates.

Each collection consists of ten mini-skeins of cotton and silk thread; threads are labelled individually with the type and skein size. Most of the current batch is made from approximately half-skeins (as an example, a half skein of silk boucle is about 5 yards; a half-skein of fine cotton is about 15 yards). Please contact me if you need to know exact quantities and yardages for each set.

Threads have been dyed with Procion fibre-reactive dye and have been well-washed and thoroughly rinsed, but as always I don't guarantee colour-fastness. If your project will need washing, then please test a small amount first. Yardages are approximate.

Please use the drop-down menu to choose a colour range. Where multiples exist, the sets are very similar but not necessarily completely identical.

Thread abbreviations (on the labels) are as follows:

TSB = silk boucle yarn
TS3 = silk perle 3 (now discontinued)
TS8 = silk thread perle 8
TS8/12 = silk thread, now discontinued and the last of its kind, somewhere between perle 8 and 12
TS12 = silk thread perle 12
FS = fine silk thread (using fine silk doubled gives the same gauge as TS12)
DMC = 6-strand DMC cotton embroidery floss
TC3 = cotton thread perle 3
TC5 = cotton thread perle 5
TC8 = cotton thread perle 8
FC = fine cotton, similar to perle 12
XFC = extra-fine cotton, half the thickness of FC
TCB = cotton boucle yarn
TCB(f) = fine cotton boucle yarn

TR 1: tea-dyes and similar; neutral creams in a range of textures
TR 2: lemon yellows, sunshine yellows, pale pink and very pale greens
TR 3: pale peach, apricot, tangerine, a little yellow
TR 4: slightly darker than TR3 - medium peach, apricot, terracotta
TR 5: a range of pale and medium rose pinks
TR 6: reds, dusky pink, maroons, reddish-browns
TR 7: lilacs and purples
TR 8: mostly spring greens
TR 8a: medium greens, blue greens and a yellow fine silk
TR 9: olive/ochre greens, pale to dark
TR 10: a range of medium greens with pastel greens and taupes
TR 11: mostly blueish-greens
TR 12: jade, aqua and blue-greens
TR 13: medium-pale blues - summer sky/powder blue/baby blue
TR 14: a range of medium to dark blues
TR 15: mostly denim and dark blues
TR 16: golden browns, grey-browns, taupe, russet/terracotta
TR 17: wintery greys, ochre, browns
TR 18: rainbow - random skeins in random colours
TR 19: sixteen mini-skeins of fine silk in a range of colours (this one is priced at £24.00)

Postage will be via standard first class in the UK or via tracked international shipping if you're outside the UK.

- Please ensure that you pick the correct country from the drop-down menu. Any orders where the address and country do not correspond (for example, a US address with UK as the country) will be cancelled and refunded. Choosing UK, when you don’t live in the UK, will cause the automated checkout to apply UK shipping rates. You must pay the correct shipping rate for your country. - Your purchase may be subject to additional customs charges depending on your location.
