extra-fine mulberry silk

Single skeins (about 50 yards) of 120/2nm very fine spun silk thread, hand-dyed with Procion. This silk is about half the weight (thickness) of the fine silk, slightly finer than very fine sewing thread. It has quite a high sheen, a beautiful texture, and glides effortlessly through fabric. Good for adding very fine details or tiny stitches. As always, colours are unique and unrepeatable, and I can't guarantee that anything is completely colourfast. Yardage estimates are approximate.

The size and shape of the skeins means that they count as a large letter, for mailing purposes - the postage cost is too expensive for a single skein, but you can add several of these to another purchase for no additional postage cost. It costs the same to post one skein as it does to post twenty. I have several other single skeins available at present so you can curate your own collection.

XFS 1 warm peach - peachy apricots with pink highlights
XFS 2 cerise - deep magenta pink
XFS 3 raspberry - pinkish reds (or reddish pinks)
XFS 4 violet - violet/purple shades with flashes of blue
XFS 5 charcoal blue - dark royal/midnight blue with charcoal grey flashes
XFS 6 blue grey - blueish grey or greyish blue, depending on the light
XFS 7 sea - medium greyish blues
XFS 8 grey green - medium-pale greyish-greens
XFS 9 green - medium greens, lots of subtle tones
XFS 10 woodland green - warm rich woodsy greens
XFS 11 bright jade - medium-bright jade/mint greens
XFS 12 slate grey - warm slate/charcoal tones
XFS 13 copper beech - warm coppery browns with gold and dark pink flashes

UK postage will be via standard first class; all overseas post will be via Royal Mail International Tracked.

- Please ensure that you pick the correct country from the drop-down menu. - When paying by card, please try and remember your purchase when your bank statement arrives. The amount will look different because of the currency conversion. If you initiate a dispute with your bank because you don’t recognise the amount, I have to prove to your bank that you did make the purchase, and I am charged a non-refundable fee even if the purchase was genuine.
